Working with a client last night, in light of trying to get rid of their cards. Shredders are not made to shred metal cards. However, the shredder locked up. Unknown what to do. They had to get pliers to pull out the card. Now it is a weapon with the end with cuts and bends, it looks like a knife.

Country folks find ways to get er done

I know in the country they come up with easy ways to do everything. When i wanted to see how they were going to cut one of my metal cards. One guy went to his truck and brought some tin snips. The metal card had no chance. It was funny for a city boy to watch, but sad when it didn’t take long. He disappeared I laughed, when the card was cut up in seconds I cried.

The trick

In getting out of debt, it’s good to cut up your cards. Then close you credit accounts. So you don’t get back in debt. When you keep your cards, and say well I will pay the balance each month. That’s a nice idea, but it will always fail. See life happens as it will always do, just may take time. This is why it’s best to cut your ability to fail.

Cutting the card help us by not having it in our pocket to spend. However, we still need to cancel and close the account. It’s all the small steps that add up to make the big difference. In this case the first step is to cut the card, to stop spending on it. Then we pay off the card. So that, we can call and close the account.

It’s not just getting out of debt, which is hard. The harder part is staying out of debt. Keeping the temptations away is so hard. However, keeping them away makes it easy to stay out of debt
